HULYN, Conflict Minerals statement

Release time:2020-09-28 Reading:0

Conflict minerals refers to metals such as gold (Au), tantalum (Ta), tungsten (W), cobalt (Co), and tin (Sn) produced from mining areas controlled by non-governmental military groups or non-military factions in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Moreover, the illegal mining profits obtained by the relevant local military groups were stolen from citizens and caused human rights violations and environmental degradation in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Apart from the democratic republic of Congo (DRC), mineral products from such conflict-free areas also include Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi, Tanzania and Kenya, which are determined by the UN security council to be minerals from the Congo's veins.

In response to the EICC (International Electronic Industry Code of Conduct) policy, GCOM stated that we do not purchase or use mineral materials from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and surrounding conflict areas. If raw material minerals are found to be sourced from the democratic republic of the Congo and surrounding conflict areas, GCOM will immediately cease procurement and use and require GCOM suppliers to comply with the same standards.

GCOM has always been making its own contribution to the harmonious earth, respectfully and actively responding to international universal values, systematically complying with the laws and regulations of the country, and giving workers a healthy and safe working environment. GCOM has passed ISO14001, OHSAS18001, SA8000, cherished the business reputation from the action, actively participated in the local community activities and made its own contribution.
